After going through all the pictures I shot this week of Bea, I just couldn't decide which one to use for 52 Weeks. I had so many cute ones....then I started playing with a few that I had accidentally overexposed the back ground. By overlaying a bokeh texture here or there and stumbled onto this combination. I liked how the background colors lit up her eyes and accented the brown around her eyes, which were perfectly in focus. For once, Bea does not look worried, just intense and waiting for the next new adventure.
Note: the little tuft of hair hanging from her lip - that is from hanging off of Bonnie's neck after she leaped out and jumped on her from behind a large rock.

Below is another version of the same picture, just with a different bokeh texture overlay. I liked this one too, but went with the first one because it seemed to have the added pop of the rich background color - this one seemed washed out to me. What do you think?
Here are the other two I considered. In this shot Bea is jumping through the river trying to keep up with Bonnie.

This one melted my heart & I loved how it turned out, but she looks concerned - when in reality she was just testing her limits like any other teenager. Bea wandered down the levee on the rocks, if she had slipped she would have landed on the sand below (not in the water) but I was not comfortable with her being so close to the swift moving water and had visions of swimming in the cold water to retrieve her. When I called she looked at me and seriously considered ignoring me. The little stinker did come eventually, when I pretended to leave her there.
